Tate Student Center Posting Policy
This policy outlines the guidelines and procedures for the approval of flyers and posters within the Tate Student Center. The Tate Student Center recognizes the importance of providing equal opportunities for all individuals and groups to express their views, promote events, and share information through our communication channels.

Approval Criteria: The following factors will be considered when evaluating flyers and posters:

  • Eligibility: Your flyer or poster must be affiliated with a UGA registered student organization, office, department, research study, or government agency.
  • Poster Dimensions: The dimensions of your poster must be between 8.5x11 inches and 11x17 inches. For 8.5x11 posters, we will post 8 copies, and for 11x17 posters, we will post 4 copies.
  • Inclusion of Information: Your flyer or poster must include an expiration date and contact information with a link or QR code. This ensures that viewers can easily access further details and enables timely removal of outdated posters.
  • Prohibited Content: Flyers or posters promoting events involving alcohol/drugs, percentage nights, tear-away tags, or containing obscene language/imagery will not be allowed.
  • Compliance with Policies and Regulations: Flyers and posters must adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including UGA’s Solicitation Policy, Trademark Policy, and Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy.

Approval Process: To obtain approval and placement for your flyer or poster, please seek assistance from the Information Desk Associates located on either side of Tate Student Center. Flyers and posters submitted for approval will be reviewed for compliance with UGA policy, local, state, and federal laws. All determinations will be made on a viewpoint-neutral basis. The Information Desk has the right to deny any flyers or posters that violate University policy, or state, local, or federal laws.

Periodic Review: This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance.
