UGA OneCard for Incoming Students
As a new student, you may utilize the OneCard Photo Upload system to submit a photo for use on your first UGA OneCard.
This Photo Upload application is available ONLY to those who have not been issued a UGA identification card since 2002. This includes program participants, campus visitors, former faculty/staff, dependents, contractors, or any other category of affiliate that has been issued an ID card of any kind.
Graduate students who attended undergrad at UGA should follow the instructions for returning students.
Your photo must be a true likeness of yourself. If the photo submitted does not resemble you or your government-issued photo ID, we will not issue this ID to you at your Orientation. You will be required to take another photo in our office and have another ID printed at your expense ($35.00 for re-issued ID’s.)
To expedite the approval and printing process, please adhere to the photo requirements (see image below). Photos that do not meet the requirements will NOT be accepted and you will need to re-submit.
Step 1 – Upload your government-issued photo ID and then your new OneCard photo per the guidelines on the upload page. Log in with your UGA MyID username and password. Sample photos of acceptable and rejected headshot photos are at the end of this page.
Step 2 – Wait for email notification of photo approval. This step may take up to 12 hours due to volume of photos being submitted and limited staff. Thank you for your patience.
Step 3 – Follow the link in the Photo Approval email to pay for your OneCard. Please be sure to use the correct billing address on your credit/debit card to avoid a declined payment.
Step 4 – You are done! Currently enrolled students please allow at least two hours before coming to the UGA OneCard Office to pick up your order. If you submit your payment after 4:00pm, please wait until 10:00am the next business day. Please bring valid, government-issued photo ID to claim your card. ORIENTATION STUDENTS: Cards will be available beginning on January 6. Locations are TBD.
The OneCard Staff can enroll your iris image when you pick up your OneCard. The iris image is used for touchless entry into the Dining Commons and the Ramsey Center. Your OneCard is required for the iris enrollment process.
